Update on my 511b got the lift arms working, but the go down so slow. Had the blade on the back and it takes literally 2 minutes for the arms to lower. Goes up fine. Any thoughts on the cause? Thanks, Dan

check to movement of the control spool I have seen many times a worn roll pin in the linkage (close to the spool under fuel tank) not let the spool go to full stroke

Good info from CNT 1600. As reference I just noticed on my 630 yesterday (nearly same as your 500b) that is if you just pull the lever back a little the arms go down real slow, the lever has to be all the way back against the stop for a quick drop and I didn't have anything hooked up to mine. With no load it took maybe 2-3 seconds to drop from all the way up to about level with the ground.
