I am pretty sure that style Old Abe was a dealer sales award given out in the early 80"s. Someplace I have the brochure showing several different gifts for different sales goals. There was a set of silver and gold coins in wooden display cases and a gold plated 2590 toy tractor as well, as this Old Abe statue. They will appear periodically on eBay. There was one on recently. If I have time to find my brochure, I will post pictures of it. The gold plated 2590 is the most valuable of the items that were part of that sales incentive program
Re: Old Abe on Globe Figure in reply to Jason Kozlowski, 08-21-2013 12:47:38
Jason I am sure you are not talking about mine as it is dated in the casting and on the plaque and I bought it from the dealer who received it in 1958 he said it was due to the number of 800 tractors they sold that year, I have no idea about the hollow ones cnt
