old style

rainy afternoon here in ky , baby setting the grand kids ,taking time looking at some show pictures ,and tractor history books ,my question is to you guys is what year was the last good looking tractors. made ,and what is the best looking tractor ever ,case or any brand , my vote goes to case 830 trycle comfort king. of course it has to have 16. 9. 38. firestones standing tall. diesel. 870 black knight just as ausum ,i think the style left tractors about 1985. now there short sloped hood look like crap nothing looks as bad as those new holland , just some thoughts on a rainy nite. tom

My favorite is the late-style VAC, and my least favorite is the Moline jet-star. I understand that the swoopy-hooded Molines are excellent tractors, but I just don't get the styling.

I'm partial to these two. But I like the Case styling all the way up through the 89 series Case IH. After that, they're bubble nosed goofy looking things. I always liked the Massey Harris 44 as well, probably since we had a couple of those growing up, but some of the ugliest oldies were the Massey Fergusons. Never really liked much of the AGCO heritage styling in general i guess, whether it were White, Deutz-Allis, or M-F. All a matter of taste I guess.

Well I kinda liked the"eyebrow" series the best 300 thru 900. Know the 30 series there nice too. Oh oh the 1st "00" is pretty nice, they looked liked beefy tractors.............and then there's the letter series DC,SC and and V's too.................ah shucks they are all nice. But give me a 700 and 4-14's and cool crisp nite and bunch ah dirt to turn,,,,,,,,,sound of that ole girl and smell of diesel exhaust....dirt rolling over........ok ok I will stop!! hee hee

beauty is in the eye of beholder ,,.. lots of nice lookin tractors built under all flags ,,, some would say the DC is ugly , others a fine work of art,,. I like the 800 , ,, the 70s massey s with the bargrills toppedwith a square blok , to me are the prettiest tractors ,, but taking that grill down and putting it back is a bich//L OL

Love the 30 series Cases but as to the Minnie Mo's there's nothing wrong with the G1000 Vista!
