Case 4230 injector leaking diesel

Hi,
We have a Case 4230 which seams to be leaking diesel from around one of the injectors. There appears to be a seal/o-ring around each injector where it enters the block. The other seals are all below the block surface but this one is protruding slightly. I am assuming this is the cause of the leak. If this is so, could someone explain how I could fix this problem. Is it just a matter if pushing it back down?

Thanks

That o ring is only there to stop dust & crap going down the side of the injector and eventually seizing it into the head!!

If diesel is coming up there the injector is at fault, either the joint betwenn nozzle holder and nozzle is loose or the metalic face seal on the joint has failed.

The only real fix is to replace or repair the injector!!

Ok, thanks for your reply.

I"ll maybe take the injector out at somepoint and have a look.
