Got this from a fellow case collector today, anyone guess what it is? It's not from a case, but did come from a case collector and I found it interesting.

looks like a very big 70 series tranny oil level sight glass

We had glass tranny sight glasses on our 2470, but being an electrician, it looks like a glass cover for a type of light bulb or lamp.

Its a preform for blow molding a bottle. I use to work with a company that did this

Wow Gary, that was quick! Figured that one would take a while. You're correct, it's a preform for a 1/2 liter Dasani bottle. Jon F MN stopped by today so I took him on a tour of the Coca-Cola plant where I work.
