Tom, was this the Barley you cut the other day for feed, or another field. How bad was leaf loss.? Not sure how you stayed in the seat, we never could rake anythng at 8 mph, afraid we would bust to much equipment up.

Mike this field is Crested Wheat Grass and Alfalfa mix the Barley is still curing my hay field are not to ruff but it too much for taking pics lol

We used our 930 and Case steel wheeled rake for years, swore it would fall apart at anytime. Never quit, traded it for a NH 3 wheeled model. Sure miss the smell of freshly raked hay. Good luck on getting it put up in time.

Nice sunrise, my question is Tom ain't thar any dew in the mornings? "Back-en-the-day" we very rarely could roll over the hay till 10:00. Is the air that dry up there (in the mornings)? Wind sure can make ah mess of things looks you where able to chase down thems runway hays!

we have a dry climate here so I use the bit of dew we get to put moisture back into the hay that is too dry and crispy and will cause a lot of leaf loss with this bit of dew it makes the too dry hay velvety soft high quality hay again my hay customers rave about the way I make hay ( not trying to sound conceited but this really makes great hay this way) I really don't know anyone here who does this they just bale it up crispy sorry for the long winded explanation but I thought it needed said as I have had many fellow YT'ers ask me this same question of the phone or in person as they deal with high H20 and this seems imposable to them as well
