Last weekend I picked up an early edsc sickle mower and I have some questions and an in need of a few parts.

I am looking for the 10" drive pulley and the cast part of the swath board. A pattern for the wood part would help. Unfortunately what I have left of these parts do not have the part numbers on them.

Now for the questions. What are the dimensions of the pitman arm? What is the length, width, and thickness of the top link? It is my understanding that these mowers could be equipped with an extension for tractors with a higher pto. What did the spacer look like and how tall was it? Are there any other tricks or tips for using this mower? I'm in the process of tracking down a parts book.

I'm putting the mower on a 400 diesel.

Thanks,

I have a "well worn" EDSC that came with an SC years ago. I've never tried to use it because of some gorilla repairs made to the shoe area and the fact that the bushings and pins are so wore that the leading edge trails by over a foot. It's in the "to be restored row", but pretty far back. Where are you? I'm in west central MN. I've a parts and owners manual for it and sure can measure or take pics for you, or if you're close come by and swap me out of it. I can scan the lit if you're interested. It is complete including the top link.

Oldproudvet,

I'm in central Iowa. The biggest thing I'm after right now are the dimensions of the pitman arm and the top link dimensions. I'll send you a message with my contact info.

Thanks,

Eli
