John, I think it was the fuel filters. I changed them both along with air filter. Not on the baler again but I took it in the fields and ran it up and down some big hills in range 4. Smoked plenty but I didn't hear that missing like before. I still am not sure of the fuel in it. It looks good and clean but could be 5 years old. I blended it with fresh fuel also. I really like the tractor and wanted to round bale with it. It should handle a New Holland 658. My 930 will handle it but uphill and close to a full bale will require a downshift. Thats where I figured this powershift 870 would be handy. 870 is good but it is not in the same league as the 1070 by any means. Never requires a downshift on that tractor.

Back on the baler this afternoon. Worked much better. Range 3...powershift gear 3 and 2 up the hills. No problem today. Must have been the fuel filters....still grunts a little with a full bale but nice and cool in the cab. Thanks everyone for your expert advice.
