Chinese Injectors, Any thoughts?

I've discovered that Chinese Pencil Injectors for the 70 Series Tractors are available for 1/2 the price of Domestic. Just wonderin' if anyone has any experience w/ them. Salesman showed them to me, & I must admit, they look good. He said that in over 1,000 pieces sold, they only had 2 comebacks.

john ,I dunno if I would do that , interstate injection sold me rebuilt ones for my 1070 for just under 300 dollars,,, my exp with products from the land of almost rite has been very less than favorable ,,,I recall my 4020 deere having a faulty injecter 25 yrs ago that locked up the rings on #5,,. sure wouldn't want that kinda luck to happen to anyone,..

I bought a couple sets from A&I(770 and 970). No issues, and at $45 versus $100+ a pop... they have sold lots of the aftermarket ones. The local diesel shop will test them before sending out the door, and have had no failures.

Local diesel shop says the new OEMs are imports too.

They don't recommend rebuilding originals as the seats can't be recut.

The 1070 I am rebuilding at the moment is getting a set as soon as the pump comes back.

A couple years ago I tried 3 sets from 3 different suppliers. All of them had the inlet pipe tipped down slightly and would not attach properly to the injector line. I bent the inlet up slightly on every injector to get them to mate properly with the line. I complained to all suppliers, but of course I was the only one that ever had that problem. I have not used any since hoping they get their act together and build them correctly. Of those that I previously installed none have failed that I know of. Rod.

I have used them with mixed results. My problem was that 2 out of 12 leaked. Not real impressed. Our diesel shop sells them to. They said they have had good luck with them. Maybe there is a couple different places making them??? I'm sick of having to screw around with China half made right parts.

Probably just like everything else that comes from China, some are good, some are not so good, and some will be pure junk right out of the box. You won't know which variation of quality you got until you open the box.

We have purchased several sets over the last year and haven't had any issues as of yet but we did bench test all of them before we installed them they have all been very consistent pressures

We all might as well embrace them now, in about 2 or 3 years they will be our only supplier. I know the chinese are capable of quality standards equal to the best of the world.

I am attempting to not buy off shore products. I am willing to spend more to help Canadian and USA workers have the opportunity to collect a paycheck.
