400B 500 motor ??

Would a 500 motor work and fit in a 400B?

511 and 600 caseomatics have a 164 ci engine ,,the 411 has a 159,,and the 311 is a 148. never done it , but I would bet a dollar to a donut that they would swap out ,, others will chime in , if I need corrected,,.Thad are you out there ?

my thoughts are they will bolt right in ,, one thing though a 411 had the same engine as the 300 series a 148 only the 530 had the 159 as far as tractors go cnt

Bell Housing Gaskets on the 400B & 600B are the same. Hoods are the same on both.

The 300/300B and 411B 148 cid engines are pretty much the same except the block in way of the pan and starter mounting.

300/300B starter bolts to the torque tube. The 400B starter bolts to the block (seal the COM?).
There is probably some way to get around that.
