Anyone out there have any idea deal how much power a 870 with a turbo set up from a w14 and 1turn of the fuel delivery screw would be putting out. When i bought the tractor it pull 77 horsepower on a dyno.

May i add that i put the turbo and turned the fuel up after i bought the tractor ,it was naturally aspirated at 77 hp

There is no direct answer to your question, an 870 with a blower is a potent setup with well over 100 HP easily possible.

That being said, haul it to a dealer who has a good dyno and an operator who knows how to use it, Sorry but just turning a screw without monitoring the result could have potentially destructive results for both the engine and transmission, especially the torque limiter and I could not in good concience recommend it.

I don't mean to be discouraging what you want to do, I'd do it myself if the parts and tractor were available to me but just want you to do it right

Thanks Mel need to take it and put it on a dyno was needing a little more hp pulling a fifteen foot batwing in the hills of ky made a big difference in the way it pulled just dont want to hurt anything!

The 870's that we turboed and were field worthy would crank 125HP, but we did not weight them down with excessive weight, They need to spin a bit to protect the tranny. We boosted the PTO and PS pressure to about 220psi. also.

ACG, very good advice, the power is easy, not weighting it down is essential as is the increase in flo divider pressure. Allowing a little slippage takes a lot of load off the drive train.
