It's a good idea that you are going to check the rocker arm clearance, Years ago a local farmer had a Farmall M that would run good cold but not hot, a dyno run showed the symptom within minutes of running at full load, after trying all carb settings and ignition parts replaced as you have done I finally lifted the valve cover to find no clearance on several valves, they were right at that point where the valves would close cold but were off their seat enough when hot to fire back into the intake, disrupting all the cylinders.

.020 on the points, if you need a dwell meter to do it I've set a lot wrong in 50 years lol.

just recallin how the gm shop down the road used to set the dwell in the chevies and Pontiacs ect , some 50 yrs ago ,,ol mechanic , there used to claim that setting the dwell tuned them in perfect ,, I have considered swappin out coils ,,too , but I want to pull the valve cover and chek the valve clearance,and see how dirty it is ,this 164 motor NEVER Had a OIL FILTER ,,, hopefully the motor is clean ..gonna put a vac filter setup on her too
