1896 won't move

Saw the post on the 2090. My new to me 1896 won"t move now. Worked fine this morning on the drill but the trans. filter light came on a time or two. Got home and put the bush hog on and when I pulled up in front of the barn it stopped moving. Hydraulics work as the lift arms raise the bush hog fine. No engine change when I depress the clutch. Changed the trans. filters and no go. Is this about the same as the 2090 diagnosis? Sounding spendy for a new-to-me tractor. 3565 hours.

there are several things that can cause an 1896 to fail to move. One of the first things that you should look or listen for at least is does it make its usual "grunt" when you push in the clutch. If it does not then it could be as simple as a bad electrical connection or a bad fuse that controls the powershift.

ok,we assume the hyds. are good an they had 2 limiter clutchs so maybe that is ok ck. the easy stuff have someone push the clutch while you watch the right side make sure no pins have came out an spool is actualy moving, next ck.the micro switchs on the pedal some had two separate, then turn the key on see if you hear it click in the lower console at circuit board.always easy stuff first.ck the fuses??
