Cultivating Videos and Question

I just noticed that Nick@KY added two short videos to his You-Tube channel showcasing his VAC-11 cultivating potatoes in his garden.
I also see that he has the sweep type bottoms on his rear toolbar. However, I have just put my hands on a set of spring-tooth type rear-toolbar bottoms for my VAC-14 (like on a spring tooth harrow but with replacable spades on the ends). Why would a person choose one type over the other?

WE used sweeps all of the time when cultivating to plow out the tire marks and make the field look better

I would prefer the spring tooth type over the trip type anytime. The trip type has moving parts that wear, or seize up from non-use. No moving parts or springs in the spring tooth type. Both take the same shovels.

Hi Chris, sure enjoyed the clip, hopefully someday I can be setup like you are, and get some serious "farming" done. Great post
Dan

Well, those videos were made by Nick@KY, not by me. I dont yet have a full set of mounted cultivators for my VAC-14, but I am getting them bit by bit. I just picked up a complete rear toolbar that I spied on craigslist.
