I had this old back blade that I got for nothing. I have some work to do with it so I thought I would fix it up a bit. Here are some pics of what it looked like to start and finished. If you want to see the whole process I posted it down on Tool Talk with descriptions of what I did. Should look good on the DC.

Nice work! I am like you, it probably would have worked the way it was, but why not fix it properly and have a nice tool that you are proud of! Very nice.

Looks good Jon, I gota "fergy" blade that needs some "beef'en up. How long did it take yeah? start to finsh. Thanks for sharing

I don't know how long I actually worked on it, there was substantial bs'n time, but I worked about 5 hours.

Jon, looks like a good fix. I have one that's the same thing, guy hit something, kinked the blade and wanted it fixed. Maybe I'll fix mine now!

If you want to see the whole process I posted that
down on Tool Talk down below. Shows some good info
on how to straighten it.

Jon,
Nice looking repair. You took a POS and made a good usable tool. Now you need to get your friendly dump truck guy to haul you in a load of crushed gravel to cover that sand in your drive way so the White Eagle doesn't get stuck again. That would be a great workout for the DC and your reconstructed back blade. PS put an extra 6" of gravel over the cable line. HeHe.

That is definately on the list for this summer. Got the whole back yard to cut trees out of and level for a pole shed.
