So I brought back my dad's old 1370 to work on and maybe get so use out of. It has been sitting for 5 years. The issues he was having with it when he parked it were the 3 point was locked in the up position and it had problems steering to the right. Someone told him on the 3 point that it was over center on the sensing linkage and to remove the back plate to fix it. Does that sound right?
I put a good battery on it and it started right up and sounds real good. I try to steer it and it will steer to the left and than back to the center, but it will not steer any to the right. The steering cylinders are leaking, so they will need to be rebuilt. Could that be the problem or is it probably something deeper?
I shifted through all the gears and the powershift seems to work ok except it won't shift into reverse all the time in 1st gear, but seems to go into reverse ok when in 2nd gear which seems really odd to me. What could be the issue with that?
I'm planning on changing all ofthe fuilds, but it would be good to figure some things out before I pour 30 gal of hy-tran in it. (What is the cost for a 30 gal drum these days?)
Thanks for the help,
Dan B
