I got it home today

Here it is. My 300 RN that I purchased from a Kubota dealer here in Oregon. They spent 3 hrs on it trying to get it running with no success. They said the timing was off. I got it home tonight and pulled the plugs, did a compression test, and pulled the carb. I regapped the brand new spark plugs, they were .035" instead of the book spec of .025". The carb had Silicone for gaskets and teflon tape on a ferruled gas line fitting. I ordered a carb kit for it, but couldn't resist trying to see if it would fire up on some ether. It fired right up for me and sounded good with no blue smoke. The previous owner told me that he had a dealer split the tractor and put a new seal in it because it was going through Hyd. fluid about 7-8 years ago. I am hoping that a carb kit and some tinkering will make it a good useable tractor! Oh, it did come with one original hood side!

Sweet tractor! I've been wanting one of those for a long time, but haven't found one nearby for a reasonable price. Found a ragged out one a year or two ago , went to look at it but couldn't get it to run. Odd thing about it was that the only straight piece on it was the grill. Kinda wish I'd bought it just for that, but didn't think it was worth $800.

You found a great little tractor there. Very nice. Hope it serves you well. I remember picking rocks many hours with a narrow front 300 every spring for years. Great little tractors. Very handy too. Thanks for sharing the pics.

It looks like a nice, straight little tractor. I am impressed with the bumper made to protect the front steering linkage. What can you tell me about that yellow truck in the background? Don

Wow,I envy you, that is a nice one, wish my "310" looked as nice as yours.Happy for you.
They are truely one of a kind

I seriously thought about it, but the block was cracked and patched, both rear rims were shot, all the tires were junk, and it was rotted even around the instrument cluster.

Tim is right. It is a 1949 Studebaker 1 1/2 ton with a GVW of 16,000 lbs. It is a friend of mines. I actually sold it to him. It was the nicest truck I owned and I got rid of it. Apparently it was not enough of a project!

I was going to ask about that too, what a great idea. If only Case had provided it there would be alot fewer bashed in grilles too !

I had just removed all the straps and forgot that I had not taken any pics. Not to worry, I am a safe tractor trucker!

Posibly a low hour tractor. The rims look good from here meaning no fluid in them. You would have needed weights of some kind to use it much back in the day when it was younger.
