What an I doing wrong? When I look for Case tractor parts that were in Antique tractors and Equipment it gives me heavy equipment which is entirely not what I have been seeing. Have they dropped the parts sites?
Thanks for your help

Ebay messed it all up.
Now you have to search each and every sub-category otherwise you get everything from cell phone cases to pillow cases. What a joke.
Somebody at ebay needs a kick right square in the arse.
Why would they take the categories and re-shuffle them like a deck of cards and expect anybody to find anything?

eBay is run by absolute idiots without any clue. They are proof that a great idea will survive management by monkeys (sorry, monkeys). Sad, but true.

They moved tractor parts INTO the heavy equipment parts and accessories category. Not in the Ag and forestry like before.

Probably some new techno weenie took over the operations (probably about 22 years old from New York City or LA and a former gamer) and has ruined a perfectly good system. Can't find implements, can't find parts, can't really search by brand, etc. I know its in there but its not findable, and I don't want to look through cases for an iPhone 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.

When I get a chance I am going to express my displeasure with their change because eBay WAS a good place to buy and sell parts, not so anymore.

Ebay / Paypal commissions and fees for the seller are really getting out of hand. The only thing worse is UPS. I fight with UPS on a near weekly basis. UPS is a very corrupt. Regional manager called, and was enroute here last week, and I had it out with him on the phone and told him to turn around. And he did ! LOL

Yes they did change the catagories. The changes took place on April 28th is what I was told. I used to list parts under Business and Industrial > Agriculture and Forestry > Antique tractors and farm equipment > Parts > Minneapolis Moline. Now when I list parts it ends up being Business and Industrial > Heavy equipment. You cant even list it under a specific brand any more. I used to type in searches, like for MM and got 2500 now I get over 56,000. Apparently thankful ebay is "guiding" me to what I might want to buy someday. I called and complained and was told to use the links on the site as well...( "tell us what you think" and "were these search results helpful" ) I had started a discussion on the MM board and Oliver as well and there was one on Tractor Talk as well about it, under What happened. I did find if I use quotation marks "what your searching for here" for my search that helps some. I got the MM items narrowed down to the old listings. I just tried it with "case tractor" and got over 1700 items, and Im sure there is more than that on there. That is one problem I have searching for Case as well, ANYTHING pertaining to a case is listed, but if I look under a specific brand in a catagory I should just get what Im searching for...not JD IH Ford etc...thank goodness for progress....??? lol

I never search just the category. I search the thing I am looking for like Case 400 radiator, or whatever. Works for me, but it is for only one thing at a time.

Type case (tractor) in the search box, and it narrows down to pretty much just case tractor related items no more I phone garbage.

I always search in "All Categories," and get creative with the seach tools to find what I want. I usually get lower than average prices this way, but it is more work. My strategies have not been affected by the changes.

I talked to the folks at ebay and they told me to look to the right side of the search bar and click on advanced. In the box that comes up type in what you are looking for such as "400 case tractor" in the next box click on the arrow and four choices will pop up. Select "exact words any order". Click search. It is easier than it sounds after all I did it.

I agree completely with Jgarner! I would not list an item that you valued without a Reserve now, as it might go unseen. Not enjoyable to look anymore. My opinion....
