It appears that there was some issues with first in first out in the tranny production line, as the first 770 had a newer tranny by 10 than the following twin. The 267DBs were even further apart. There was 86 engines between them. Wonder what some of the others went into, or if some one just randomly moved the engines to the main assy line for installation. I was out to the Tractor Plant a couple of times, and saw the engines and trannys mated and the tractors being built and drove of the line, but never saw exactly how the sub assys were selected and brought to the main assy line.

Thanks, she is at a farm a few miles away. Will get the numbers tomorrow when I go back over to disc. She was very similarly speced to the ones you have there.

AK seat, 8 speed, manual brakes, open station, 5 hole wheels, dash tilt wheel, 16.9-34s(Firestones), 9.5L-15 fronts that failed within 1 year of new(blisters, forget what brand, could ask my dad, thinking they were BFG)...

Everything on the farm is geared for the 3394 and the 7220 as far as tillage equipment. They could probably pull hay wagons during the summer. lol

Disregard the sheet metal, it is really a 770 underneath... I stole the rear dishes, sheet metal, and power brake valve from an 870 parts tractor. She had been sitting outside for a long time when I made the decision to bring her home, fixing the existing steel would not have been practical.

Anyway, close, but no cigar... Some day I will find one close enough that I can maybe get Rich at CNH a reasonable starting place to look for the right serial number.

Love the enamel DB muffler, would be a tough guess on what would live the longest, the engine or the muff. Rod.

I wish it was a DB muffler... I need a few of them, just a ceramic coated 2.5" glass pack. I had to make some changes when I hung the turbo on it. A little flash of red poking out of the hood lets you know something isn't quite right.
 
David Browns didn't have mufflers, they were "silencers" which had to be removed before taking of the "bonnet". Don't forget the "dirt excluders" around shift levers. lol
