Case IH 2096 powershift issues

Tractor will only move in 2nd geer and reverse,no
first and third. So I checked and have power going
to sylenoid in first gear but wont move. So I
changed sylenoid to known good one and still wont
move,has power going to it. If iam sitting in the
tractor and have it in first gear and its not
moving,and i push in the clutch and it wants to back
up. There is a grinding noise on the left side in
front of the rear axle.
 
Its a little hard to diagnose with out being there to experience it however there are a couple things that you can consider. First off remember that more than one solenoid needs to be active for each powershift. Secondly as to the noise, if its a real grinding noise and its only there when the clutch is pushed in and then goes away when you let the clutch out its likely a chipped or broken sun/planetary gear inside the powershift itself which means the tractor will have to be split and the powershift rebuilt. I'm sure that 1370Rod, MEL, or AgriKing will offer there opinions as well.
