case model 21 loader question

on the model 21 # 4041517 loader I was thinking
of replacing the leaking hydraulic seals in the lift and the bucket tilt cylinders myself. My question is On the fastener that holds the pistons to the shaft how much ft-lbs of torque is needed on the fastener i can do the work i just have average torque wrenches to work with or just send them to the hydraulic shop and also when was the case 440 h # 6151337 made

If you have the tie-rod cylinders. I rebuild one last year - when I got it apart I found the gland packing was held by a c clip and washer.then the seal. The washe was bulged out -not really in my mind a good design as I felt it would bulge the washer again. I designed a new seal holder to rplace the washer and hold the seal ( couldn't easily find the oem seal and liked the newer style wipers). So far it has worked super. I drew up a print then sent it to a mahine shop (my nephew in NH) he turned it and sent it to me. As far as the torque I didn't have specs but went to around 200 ft pounds. Been great ever since. I can sent a copy of the print if anybody wants to see it. I only used the oem snap ring.

Are your cylinders single acting or double acting? Makes a difference in how you would disassemble them. The bucket would be double acting but the lift might not be.
