Hi guys, last night I had a good conversation with a former Case sales manager who worked at the Alton, IA Case dealership. He had a lot of interesting Case stories to share with me, and answered a lot of my questions. He said he enjoyed working at Case, but quit after two years with CaseIH, he worked there from 67 to 87 I believe. He said the president from Case would call you down and talk to you, and knew you by name. He said the tractor most popular while working there was the 2290. He said the 870 was just an all around great tractor for around the farm.

Who was the president of Case?

He mentioned that all he has for Case now is his ring. He said if your sales increased he got another diamond. Does anyone else have the ring? or possibly a photo?

I am learning a lot and the stories are cool.

I have both of mine. The blue one is full, with all the dimonds in place and started on the second. The blue one was prior to the merger and says Case master Dealer. the secong one is post merger and has the Case-IH logo on it.
The CEO of Case when the merger took place was Dave Green.

Loren, I hope you're still cashing your Case checks. Somehow a ring, a tie, a gold watch just can't show your dedication...slim

Slim,
We closed our Case dealership in the fall of 86. I stayed with Case-IH until 1992, when I went into the construction business. I'm retired now and a part time helper on the family farm.
