351 and 511b

Hello guys,

can the 351 triple range come with an actual ind. pto. Does the 511b come the same way and is the 164 ci ?? engine in the 511 wet or dry sleeves. I notice tractor data shows them with over 40 belt hp. I was surprised at that. Wouldn't that be enough to run a low hp baler like the hesston 5540 or so. Maybe not idealy but wouldn't it do it???

I do not believe the 351 or 511b were available with independent PTO that"s what they used the hand clutch for.The 600b had a true independent PTO because of the C-O-M.Both had 164 dry sleeve engines 351-38hp,511b-45hp.A wet sleeve 164 replacement engine was offered from Case back in days when those tractors were relatively new.Very gutsy little buggers,but I am not sure I would run much more than a square baler with one.
 
I do not remember the model baler it was (painted and decaled MF but was a Vermeer) made a 500lb or so bale I had traded for and before selling it I went to the field with it and my 600B, that baler it ran fine but I would not want anything any larger cnt
