I would take a drain plug sample from the motor, tranny, and pto reservoir, and look for moisture content,I removed the oilbath cap on the intake filter and found a dead mouse!Pull the valvecover caps and see if the they are reasonably clean,Coolant in your motor oil sample? These are just some of the things I checked, and then I based my offer accordingly.Good Luck Chuck

if it starts and runs its worth that. imo, if it won't start you are buying a project you decide. gobble

If the tires are good and it runs smooth, good oil pressure, probably okay if it's a nice loader. If it needs tires, or if it needs any serious work, too much. Just my opinion. Prices vary from region to region. It costs a small fortune to haul tractors around nowadays....

How are the tires? New tires could cost a bundle these days. If it has a loader, was it used as a loader tractor or just for goofing off? Loaders are hard on front ends so if it was used hard the steering system could be worn out. Look for slop in the transmission gears. Check all fluids as others have mentioned. If it has a loader chances are pretty good that the rear tires will be loaded with weight solution. Check the rims to see if they are sound and not rusted out. If it is in good shape after checking all that out 1500 is cheap. If some of these things are bad be prepared to spend a lot more fixing it up. Don
