what's you favorite all around case vintage tractor

what's your favorite all around Vintage Case tractor that can handle most jobs? (if this has bee posted before please delete, i enjoy reading about the pros and cons of different tractors)

i really like my gas 930 wide front end although a little big for 5 acres

Can a fella have 2 favorites? Of the flamebeau nothing much
better than the DC, and the 800 was just a "pretty" tractor.
 
700 diesel is my main workhorse here too. Is in the shop right now addressing a few problems before the season starts. Second favorite is my 1940 Case V. Used more in winter than any other tractor to haul firewood and gin around jobs.

Our 730 diesel, but the 870 gasser may take over the #1 spot because it always start so darn quick as engine warms up faster than the diesel.
 
No question it's the 830 com eh, or maybe a 1030. No
definately the 830, unless I had a lot of acres then
the 1030. Of course I would still favor the 830 for
chores and planting.
 
My Dad started with a crossmount case and the first new tractor was a 1929 L (I still have) than a new 1948LA put on propane in 57 , 1947 LA , 1947 LAI, 1949LA LP, new 1960 930 LP, 57 600LP, 1966 930 CK Diesel, 1972 1470 owned it two times, new 1979 2390, a Versitile 555, 1982 4690, 1982 2590, and a 1995 9230. Also have a old 59 900 Lp. The best?? My Dad ,if he was still alive, would say the L. I think the 1966 930 CK Diesel is mine although the 1979 2390 is close.
 
those are my choices ,, the DC was my Dads favorite ,coupled with the 800, They gave our farm that feeling that WE HAVE ARRIVED and are NOW Invinceable feeling.!. But in a Greater sense When i am working these tractors and any all orange including the WD tractors ,, I cant help but to say a prayer for All Those family members that Worked and handled the same controls...
 
970, only Case tractor I've operated. Very nice with the power shift! I like the looks of the 30 series.

830CK diesel C-O-M.I love the Comfort Kings and the 4 cyl.diesel 830 is sooo smooth.The Case-O-Matic just puts icing on the cake.
 
I have 3... My 54 DC, but back in the day, I liked the 53 we had better, my 800 diesel. It doesn't owe me anything. I paid $400 for it 6 years ago, and all I have ever done, is change oil, and add fuel. The one that gets used the most is my 830 COM diesel. Other then needing the seat suspension rebuilt, and the step handles, it is by far the easiest to run.

I love my 811B, but Pauls choice would be my #1! If only I could find one I could afford! (Free!)
 
I guess I would have to say that it doesn't get any better than going for a ride on the Spirit. But if it is a letter series or a 96 series or any in between, if it's a Case it's great!
