Topic: Another NY tractor shows up in MN

 A friend suggested I look at a 224 GT his uncle had for sale. Well we ended up agreeing on a price and when we loaded it I was surprised to see this dealer decal. Does anyone know if they are still in biz? Rod.

| L&W opened a branch locally to me here in PA. We had been without CIH for a few years after our sole surviving Case dealer folded(RW Kyle). I guess they think they can make a go of it when the little guy couldn't.

| Hamberg, NY was about 200 plus miles from me to the west. Ohio line. Never heard the dealer name mentioned at Case meetings.

| As far as I know they are not in business. The big IH dealer in Springville (Lamb and Webster) handles the area as they picked up Case IH after the merger. Some dealers in NY survived the merger changing lines or just going lawn and garden plus compact tractors.

| Did L&W have a dealership in Jamestown? I picked up a 885MFD out there.

| No. L & W opened a second branch over in North Java after the IH dealer there went out. There was a Case dealer over in the Jamestown area but I am not sure how long after the merger they hung on. Jamestown is quite a distance from where I live anyways.
