Well guys,
Although winter hasen't been too bad, we are getting another blast tonight, extending through friday with the 12" predicted snowfall tonight and tomarrow, and temps predicted to be about freezing during the days until Friday. The wifey and I are setting cozy with ample wood to stoke the boiler in the garage and wood for the Fireplace. The wifey put a cheap beef roast in the crockpot this afternoon with lots of vegies from last years garden. I'm setting back with a couple barley pops, watching RFDTV.
What is happining in your neck of the woods?
Loren

You lucky guys, I have been wishing for a good ole fashion blizzard all winter and got wind and cold, no snow. Its been close and the weatherman has teased us a half dozen times, but got nothing. Some would think I'm crazy, but its nice to (have to) stay home for a couple days and watch as mother nature shows us who is still in charge. Today we had flurries, lots of wind and 15 temp. Rest of week we are dry, highs low 30's. Enjoy the brews and fire, Rod.

Supposed to ger around 3 to 5 inches here. This prolonged winter weather is starting to wear down my spirits.

I've had a week of pretty good weather. Went down to Houston and then to Baltimore. Was warm and sunny for me for a change. Today tho that changed, hit snow in DC this morning right at rush hour then got better for a while then hit snow and freezing rain and sleet in Pa. I'm in Harrisburg right now and it's about 34 deg and sleet/snow/rain mix. Glad I'm done driving for the day.

Snowing so hard I can hardly see the barn from the house and its only 200 feet away. Calling for 24+" by Wednesday and no above freezing temps in the forecast. Mother nature just won't give UP on winter.

We have been spoiled with sunny, but cool temps for the last week or so. But... Looks kinda nasty tonight and rest of the week. But I don't mind, I'll be away from home at a milk producers convention. So Jr. and my Missus will have to battle the elements, and milk the cows for a few days. Stay warm, it will be spring soon. Bruce

Hi Loren,

It has been snowing here since 9:00 this morning and it is still snowing. We have about 8" of snow at 29 degrees and winding.

Well you could have some of the white stuff here. Son and I were just out and cleaned the drive and yard. Got blowers on the 870 and 930. Started last evening and is finally calming down. Not much snow, but the 30-40 mph winds put it all in the yard. Nobody went any where today.

40+ today in central IL. no snow it is supposed to get colder . my wife and i are watching dancing w/the stars

Gregg,
Hope you don't have to go through what I did when the company I worked for downsized. Filed for unemployment, and then had to report to the State workforce Center, once a week. A month prior to my loosing my job I had my first stroke and the meds that the doctors had me on rendered me to a non functional state phisically. The WFC found several jobs they wanted me to persue based on my former experties. I told them that I could not perform the tasks of the job at the time, and they were all 40 miles from my home and made no sense to travel that far for a job, which would just barly cover travel expenses. They told me I would loose my unemployment benifit if I didn't apply for the jobs, so I did with their help. All replies cam back that they were looking for younger phisically capable employees. After that I told them to stick their unemployment. I readjusted the meds on my own, and now work under the table on my terms and they all can go you know where. I'm one of the unemployed that they don't count anymore. Had been doing real good until the first of this month when I had another minor stroke. Still adjusting and getting over this one.

Watertown is about 35 mi west of me as the crow flies. This AM we 3-4" on the ground. It's been a long winter, but not anywhere near as bad as int he 60's and 70's. Wake up to 46" of "partly cloudy" some day! Thats winter!

One man's pain another's pleasure, guys we were in the upper 80s yesterday and forecast to be around 80 today. Its getting too warm too quick here on the TX gulf coast for me, wish we could keep the cool around a bit longer for us. Gonna be too hot in the garage to do much too soon for me. Send some of that cool our way.

Jim
