Case Nutty 1660 oil ???

they still make TCH oil they were going to stop making it but CNH changed their mind. i just got a barrel back in june 2012. my dealer still sells it. unless CNH changed their minds again.
 
as Bro loren said the TCH has been replaced by Hy-Tran Ultra, but TCH is still available and is still recommended in the 850 and larger crawlers, I just called my Case dealer and got these prices

also I have found the Hytran to be a better all around oil as I have seen it give life back to seals in both lip type oils seals and hyd cylinder seals that leaked before completely seal up when you put in Hy-Tran Ultra, now to add confusion there has been three different types of Hy-Tran
Hy-Tran this was IH's oil
Hy-Tran Plus Case added some thing to it around 1985 to make it compatiable for a specific application
and the current Hy-Tran Ultra, this oil can be mixed with TCH and many other oils with no ill affects hope this answers your question cnt
 
TCH was used in the "30" series and "70" series up to the 1270/1370 tractors came out then with the added HP they released TFD for use in the bigger tractors but TCH was still used for the smaller ones as well as constuction equipment cnt
 
Before the 70 series came out a lot of us were using type A trans fluid in the 30 series tractors. At the same time we were using Hy-tran hydraulic fluid in the 400 IH hydraulic system. Dad would not use anything else in the 400 as IH dealer said it would ruin the system. Is the same HY-tran were are using today?
 
they have changed the formula several times I would guess with different additives but it is much the same oil, I was told by Case when they bought IH the Hy-Tran had some thing in it that was not compatiable wth TCH and TFD but now it will blend with no problems, I would guess that was the major change done to it since 1985
