OK so this was not for "tractor" use but how many out there remember using one of these? I have a pic of the other side that tells what it is this will tell how old you are if you know this item cnt

Looks to be plastic and most framing squares I have seen are metal but I think Gene is on it. From my on-the-board days (everything is CAD design now) it looks like an architectural draftsman's triangle for roof layout and eave over hang??

In the "olden days" when you warmed up your vehicle in the winter this wedged between brake pedal and foot feed to press accelerator and keep engine reved up. BTDT

So this replaced the throttle and manual choke on the dash. Makes sense on automatic choke cars. Would never have gotten this being a warm climate kid. Good one Tom!!

I had never heard of those before, here in MN us poor guys relied on a block of wood with a brick placed on it in a strategic location to apply the correct pressure to achieve the desired RPM's, lol, Rod.

brick and block of wood??? here in Iowa it was a screw on mountian dew bottle and an old glove so nothing would slip screw the cap off or on to the desired RPM. Maybe to High Tech for some LOL

I slide my seat forward and use my winter ice scraper to do this. Just wedge the ice scraper in between the seat and gas pedal. I do the same method to check trailer lights by myself too once hooked to the pickup.
