My dad has a '67 Case 430 Diesel that is in desparate need of the sheet metal on the front; nose cone, center strip, both grill screens, side panels. I think the hood and tank are usable. What other models will fit? I know the 470, 530/570 will fit. Any 100 series fit? Thanks.

I am not to familiar with these little guys, but I think the only piece of sheet metal simaliar to the 430 and 530 is the part that houses the head lights.

the headlite frog eye pc is interchangeable with a little 200 built in 1958 all the way thru to the 1969 big hoss 1030

Case cut openings and spot welded sid screens into the later big frame tractors for engine air intake.

Be careful about the fit on the tinwork components. There are a number of unique attributes to these items.

First, your hood from the nose cap back to the dash is unique to a diesel. The spark ignition version will be approximately 1 1/2" too short. There are also differences between tractors with upright mufflers and those with exhausts directed down and under. The upright hood you need is s.n. A37795. The cap p.n. for an underneath exhaust is A37797.

The nose caps after sn. 8262800 (mid 1965) are all the same for 430s and 530s. The 470/570 caps are the same except they lack the hole for the eagle medallion. The cap you need is p.n. A36685.

The side panels you need are p.n. A36730 (right) and A36731 (left), and the gill center brace is p.n. G13936. These must be from a 430 since the 530/630 versions are 3" taller. I think the early 430 versions will work for these parts, but they do show different part numbers.

Be sure you specify the 15" screens. 530s and 630s used the taller 18" screens.

Actually not true. There are numerous versions of these nose caps. As an example, the B series tractors had an inspection cover for the radiator cap on the 1958 models, while the 1959 models had the radiator neck extend up through a hole in the tin, with a radiator cap on top of, or external to the nose cap.

I have a hood and nose cone off a 188 diesel serial #81199982 That I would trade for a good gas hood .
Thanks Tim

There are many hoods for the 430. The early hood Have a different battery door then the later ones. And as others have said you have gas and diesel and both have up or under exhaust. 530 hoods are not even close as they are much shorter then 430 hoods because of the fuel tank being part of the hood. I did see some one on here looking for a gas hood. I have an early gas hood no battery door in ky.

Joe is right on the tin. Be careful. Don't know about late but early 530/630 hoods stop at the gas tank. The tank forms part of the hood. Not sure on nose cones. 530 gas hood fits 530 gas engine only, 530 diesel is common between 630 Gas and Diesel. 159 gas engine is 2" or so shorther than the 188 diesel and the 630 uses a 188 gas engine the same length as the diesel. Be very careful on the tin from folks trying to sell it that tell you 430, 530 and 630 are common, some is some isn't. As an example, 500b 600b and 630 general purpose tractors use the same fenders but they are different for the 530 and 630 utilities due to the 36" tires, 3 pt draft arms a a little longer too. When in doubt check the part numbers in the CNH parts site. I use it a lot to find out what fits what.
