Good way to clean molding's

These think rubber dash moldings out of the 870 were crusty, greasy filthy things I really did not know how to clean. My wife was ready to wash some of my work coveralls and said throw them in the washer with the coveralls. When they came out I said WOW, they look like new, that was easy. Still spending time on the 870, it needed much more TLC than I thought, 4 days down, hopefully after another 4 and I can kick it out the door.

Rod,
Good thing she sugested that. If you had of, you would have been in "Deep laundry detergent". Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Rod,
I assume this is the 870 your son hauled home? Did the tractor have a lot of issues mechanically? Hopefully the tractor wasn't a huge disappointment for your son. Good luck with the ol' 870.

You guys with shops like that make me terribly jealous. If you ever get feeling sorry for yourself, come on out and you can lay down on your back in wet snow under the open sky and work with me!

Nice shop! :D

Took me 40 yrs to get a nice place to work, I hope you don't have to wait that long. Those shade tree repairs are still fresh in my mind, lol, Rod.

Kurt the engine and trans seem OK, its all the little things and I mean all. The elderly gentleman that owned it did not abuse it, but he never fixed anything. For what the tractor will be used for all this little things really don't need to be corrected, but it will drive me crazy until they are. Rod.

Your so right, had it been my idea I would have heard You can't those the things in there!
