got a call yesterday afternoon from a nice man from NY, said he was restoring a "500" and needed some parts and had no luck so he had some how found a good friend of mine the runs a salvage yard in SD, he in turn said call me as I seem to be able to find most things Case, I in turn referred him to John Saeli just a few hrs from him, I have to chuckle a bit as this man's search lead him half way across the US then back to his own back yard, my Case history still continues to amaze me,,,Hmmm wonder who will I meet tomorrow?? cnt

Can be a small world sometimes, isn't it? Always enjoy your pictures. We have a lot of MF equipment and some Case also. Brother has a 4890, DC, SC tractors. Combines are 2-1160s, 960, 660, and a 600 that are all stored, but could be put in the field, plus a couple out on boot hill, his spare parts yard. There is enough out there now he can drag something home and his wife does not know how long it's been there.

Brother bought a really sad SC parts tractor at a sale once, wife was looking at housewares. When getting ready to load up the SC a rotted rear wheel and tire fell off just as she got back to the truck. Bless her heart, she didn't say a word, just shook her head and started laughing. He better keep her!

My oldest son, who was around 9 or 10 at the time, and I were looking at a couple of juicy parts tractors at auction, and he had noted the excellant rubber on one of them, and then proceeded to tell me how to bring these in from the pasture side of our "parts row" so Mom wouldn't see the fresh grass beat down by the trailer tires. He was confident Mom didn't know what was in that awesome row. I decided to keep him at that point...........Now if a guy would actually use a parts tractor for parts instead of just adding more stuff to the "to find list" in order to get them running and useful too. Never have figured out that swapping, trading, selling part of the hobby. I suppose it has something to do with my buy high sell low mentality

We rent the neighbor's machine shed across from the 2nd farmstead. You put all the new goodies there first, then move them to the south farmstead, then slowly blend them in. LOL Don

Yeh right! She is the superior one of the species .They Know it! And we know that they know it .We just refuse to acknowledge it.
