310 utility clutch

New one on me. The clutch wasn"t releasing all the way, grinding gears on shift. Got progressively worst.

Release yoke pivot was worn and cracked open on one side.

A common problem back in the day so to speak, pushed em back down and ran a good bead of weld around em n their still out there. Don't remember any welded ones failing, think the forming process drew the metal to thin there.

Welding was kinda the plan. Good to know it works. Might even turn out to be stronger than original.

I have seen that and also the Button head on the clutch link warn off on that setup. Blamed that on an operator who road the clutch pedal a lot, or did a lot of loader work.

This one is further along than I thought when I first looked into the bell housing. I was using the hand clutch also just to get some things done before tearing it down. Otherwise there is very little wear on the fork or the rod.

I agree on riding the clutch, I am definitely guilty of that but that wasn't the case here.
