Lifetime Air Filters?

Apperently some people think so. This is what you hate to see come out of the used tractor you just purchased. I can see maybe a three year old filter if the tractors not used much, but a 30 yr old one. Just a few yrs ago I pulled the original out of a 76 1070. The sad thing is I bet there are some Hyd filters in tractors that are that old also, the owners can't see them either. A elderly gentle once said, I did'nt think you had to change them unless something was'nt working right. I replied in a nice way, no thats when it's to late to change them, LOL, Rod.

My Father taught me that it was cheaper to change filters often, than a major repair. We changed all filters and oil in the spring, then based on the dusty conditions during spring work, we would definitely change all filters, then change all oil before fall work started. Never had a major engine or rear end repair on any of our tractors. Like the FRAM man said " Pay me now or pay me later"
