This old trailer Dad put together in '54, 3/4 chev. chases, mid tirties? Ford bed, and a plymouth rear end, has a case history. We moved from Sand Creek, Ok back to Hackett, Ar with everything we had left after those drought years. Dad bought a 46 vac narrow front with a stuk motor and a gas tank full of water and sticks for 50 bucks. He and Grandpa spent to days getting it unstuck and started. It cought fire during the process and they threw that Ok sand on it and put it out. Knew that old blow sand had to be good for something. Dad loaded it onto this trailer and put it behind his 41 fluid drive Chrysler and we headed to Arkansas. He had the front wheels on the tonge and blocked up the rear axels off the floor of the trailer and put the rear wheals on each side of the tractor. I wish somebody would have gotten a picture of that.

Thanks for a chance to reminisce

Checxked out full steam ahead this after noon and the car in there had a flat bed 2 wheel trailer whith a 2 row planter on it. Not nearly as impressive as Dad's venture. :) That picture is from a dual Ford auto and case tractor dealership. I've known a few guys wo remember their Dad's buing a new tractor and the boys drove it home, some as far a 50 miles.
Times are a chang'n huh?

It reminds me of pictures in full steam ahead of dealers with the small tractor on a trailor behind a car of that era. It may have been a v or vc, don't remember.
