(quoted from post at 13:50:20 02/12/13) Is that a spacer between carb and manifold?

you are correct, but the exhaust manifold was what I was refering to. The spacer is the result of using an LP intake manifold with a Carburator. You need the spacer when using the original oil bath filter and carb connecter, becasue the manifold is shorter than the gasoline manifold..

Thanks

Also put in new sleeves and pistons, seals, valves and guides in the heads, some port work. new clutch and pressure plate, and one of Gary Bakers cam grinds.

Little over 50 PSI increase in compression. So it should do better this year on the track.

Did you use the dupontB78250 or the ditzer 71282 in flambeu red?

I believe it was the latter. I went to a PPG paint house and told them I wanted to use PPGs OMNI Urathane in Flambeau Red. She put that in the Computer and out popped a paint code. The Desert Sand is the same paint and uses Fords "Chamois" paint code. It's what popped out when Desert Sand was put in the computer.

Ditzler is PPG now
