Anyone need a low hour 730

sounds pretty fishy to me. it only had 350 hrs. and he completely rebuilt the engine?.

More than likely the tractor set so long it stuck so the guy completely rebuilt the engine.

I have heard stories like this before. The original owner was probably an old man that bought the tractor new and died a few years after he bought it.

The family kept it because it was dads, granddads or someone similar, ran it a little but ended up letting it set until this guy came along.

If I had the cash I would go take a look.

What does a 730 weight?

My thoughts exactly. And a rebuild of the engine involves more than what is listed. When posting like this they would be better off with a lot less detail mentioned. Let the buyer beware and ask the tough questions :)

The seller accounts for the last 25 years of the tractor's 47 year life. 250 hours in the first 22 years is extremely rare but might be possible. Inspecting the drawbar, pedals, steering, shifters, clutch free play, paint, hour meter and seat suspention should tell if it has 350 total hours or 350 hours since the tach was replaced. It looks like it has an alternator instead of a generator.

If the 730 is in good condition with maybe 5000 hours and the engine has never been touched instead of completely rebuilt, $3000 may not be an unreasonable asking price. It might sell for $2500+?
