I love the 70 Series Tractors, but......

I sure wish I could talk to the A$$holes that put the blower motor and windshied wiper motor in the location they did. Had they installed the blower motor 2 in. back and there is room to our job of replacing them would be hrs. shorter with a lot less swearing. What were they thinking? I know no matter how good something is, like alot of people I can find something to complain about, but the way they covered up that wiper motor is borderline insane. Now that I'm done ranting I better get back to work, LOL, Rod.

Blower motor isn"t a lot better on the 90 series. Is some but you have to take both the lid and back off if I remember right.

Now what they really should be drawn and quartered for the the battery location. It had to be expensive and a PIA. Hated it everytime I had to change batteries in the 10 we had.

Rod,
BTDT, If only they put a small removable metal plate with the wiper motor attached to it in the front panel over the windshield. 5 Min. and the wiper motor would be removed. Most of the time the wiper motor worked fine, but the stub shaft that the wiper arm fastens to, broke off.

The first thing they ought to do with the engineers is to ship them out in the field and make them work on a tractor after its been working for a few months. Maybe they would learn something about "user friendly".

Rod,

The blower on my 1175 has started squealing like crazy. Can you still get parts to fix them, or do you have to retrofit something? Thanks! Don

don , you mite try spraying the motor with wd 40 and or silicone ,, i do that occassionally ,, on my 58 chevy grain truck , and my ford truck ,, worx good ,,

Very much so and I have to think the cost to manufacture on the 90's and 94's was much less than what the 70 series had.
