SC choke control rod

Does anyone have a choke rod for an SC they can get me the dimensions? The tractor I brought home was missing the control rod and I can"t seem to find one to replace it. I"ve seen one on a tractor and it doesn"t look like it would be hard to make one if I had some dimensions like rod diameter, total length, where the bends are, and where the two lengths join together. Of course if any one had a spare laying off in the corner they weren"t going to use...

I"m not sure about the size/length but I bought an old SC from a guy who used old fence wire for it and it worked just fine it came out a little more then usual so it was easy to get to. If you started off the starter but it was a pain to get to when hand starting it. Good luck with the dimensions hope someone can help!! Sorry I"m not any use.

Zach I don't know how deep your pockets are but those parts are available all the time on EBay. I would think you could pick one up at a reasonable price.

I have seen one on ebay. I have access to some different diameters of rod and I thought I could make my own for next to nothing. But if I see another on ebay before I get this project done I may go that route.

If you want the tractor to be original you will probably have to make the choke rod; that's what I did on my 1952 SC. Otherwise you can use an aftermarket choke cable; that's what I did on my 1949 SC. Works really good.
