Well guys,
It got to 58F yesterday afternoon, so Michael didn't rob all the heat before it got here. Temps. went down hill from there. 34F this morning. At 4:30 this afternoon I shot these pics., Temp 25F, wind chill 13. We're getting one Great Lakes clipper after another
The Power went off about 12:20 along with the internet (TW). Son called his power failed also, he is on National grid, I'm on NYEG, regional problem I suspect. We had about 75V on one leg, nothing on other at my disconnect box, (not good) I disconnected ,and fired up my Yanmar Gen. About 3:30 the grid was back up.
I havent had to run the Gen for the last 4yrs, I did start it when "Sandy" thretened, so I was prepared.
I continued to work on my current project, runing my chop saw, mig welder, and arc welder on gen power.
The wifey was happy, as we have Dish TV, and she could catch the "soaps", HeHe.

Bro,
Glad to see you're getting a little "financial aid" from mother nature, Sure has been a wacky winter.
When I was working construction,I had to get to work at 2:00 AM to plow comercial parking lots etc. It was fun then, and I would do it again if I had the opertunity, to work for the same contractor.

Loren, Those temps sound down right tropical to me. Our hi was -2 with a 25 mph breeze, back to -10 now. Suppose to be 30 again in a couple days. I'm a late comer to this forum so I have another dumb question. Why do you call your area Clinton Camp? Rod.

loren , that fiesty weather came thru lousville area early wednsday a,m .took at least 2 last century barns down ,they were empty , seemed like it lifted roof like a umbrella , and then crumpled them over .i was hoping that squall had petered out before it got to you guys... btw ...did you and larry call BLACK KNIGHT for tomorrow nite ?? .. maybe you ought to get the bullhorn and jump up on the wagon and posta new message here , calling all" KNIGHTS to Action" to be accounted for .

Loren,
I can almost smell the wood burning from your stove in these pictures, tell me Loren,do you still have a cooking range in the kitchen? You know a wood cook stove.

Well Loren, you've it better than me. Spent 2 1/2 hours to go less than 5 miles just now. 1 inch of wet ice on I65 just south of Indy. That was the worst stretch of road I've ever traveled. When I moved I would just slide down to the grass. Sure am glad that's done. Did get to give the new trucks traction control and anti lock brakes a good checking out tho. They work great!! lol.

Rod,
It wasn't named after Bill and nnalert, that's for sure!! LOL
Seeing that it is you , asking I will explain again.
Back shortly before this country won the Revolutionary War, General James Clinton was commanding the Continental Army in the North East. It was decided that Clinton's army would head to Valley Forge to reinforce Washington's Army.
Clinton's plan was to assemble local Militia with his army as he traveled south. This was the overland portion of his trip. When they all got here, the march turned into a river portage. In order to travel down the Susquwhanna, Clinton had to dam up Otsego Lake, the headwater of the Susquenanna River, and build bardges. Clinton set up his Base Camp on what is the yard in front of the barns.
The following spring, they blew the dam and headed down the Susquenana to link up with Col. Buttler's 4th Penn. Regiment, and on to support Washington's Armys at Valley Forge leading to our independance.
You can Google (General James Clinton), for more details.
