Hairline cracks in SC block

Started cleaning on the block getting ready to maybe set head on and I found a couple of cracks in the block of my SC. One picture shows a crack from #1 sleeve to head stud to #2 sleeve. Other shows crack from #2 sleeve to hole where pushrods run. Not sure if the cracks show up to good in the pictures. Supposed to get head back from the machine shop tomorrow with two new valves, new exhaust seats, and had a little shaved off to get back to level.

Was there any antifreeze in the oil? If not, I doubt that you have a problem with these cracks. Can you put some coolant in the block and check for leaks below in case there are other cracks down lower on the block.

The head gasket should seal around the lip of the sleeve to keep any coolant that leaks through the cracks up on top of the block from getting into the cylinders. I usually use copper spray on my head gaskets to get a good seal, but others will tell you not to.
