Bad Bearing Right belt pulley shaft

Trust me--where there's one bad bearing, there are many. This bearing under the belt pully is on the bevel gear shaft. If done correctly, any bearing replacement must involve resetting the backlash adjustment on the bevel pinion set. You could remove the belt pulley and the bearing carrier, cut the cage off the bad bearing and use a 3-jaw posi-lock puller to remove the inner race, heat the new bearing cone to around 300F and slide it on. An I&T service manual will give you just enough information to get you through setting up the dimensions on the shaft. You will have to pull the top transmission cover to access the gear set to do the job correctly. I would advise checking everything else carefully while you are in there. Best of luck!
