300 case

I found a mid to late 50,s case 300, coil missing, guy said engine turs over with crank, been sitting outside for years. Rear rims bad front tires nothing, insturment panel bad, engine side panels missing other wise seems to be complete. could any one give me an idea what it could be worth? thanks in advance Pete

Sounds like she's in tough shape. Way too many unknowns to nail it down, but a good starting point would be $500. If the rear tires are usable and the engine doesn't need an overhaul, and the radiator holds water, and the grill frame is not broken, and, and, and you might get up around $1000.

Of course that opinion and $2.15 will get you a ridiculously expensive cup of coffee at starbucks.

Joe I have only went to stabucks a couple times and it was more like 5.00 plus for mine LOL guess thats why I don't go back also agree with you on prices cnt

I dont know what it is worth, but I restored one a year and a half ago for the president of Old Abes news. Also, I am about to put the finishing touches on a FULLY restored 350, the row crop version of the 300. The parts are extremely hard to find and expensive, but I can certainly help you out if you choose to buy it. Sort of a rare tractor to see restored, but I have done two of them to museum quality.

LOL 5-10 bucks for coffee no matter what you call it is crazy!! ours has a line in the drive thru most of the day!! wish I would have thought of it kinda like bottled water!!

300s arn't that rare. We have two of them and several of the other guys on this forum have them and 350s. Both the 300 and 350 were rowcrop tractors available with bar axles and narrow or adjustable wide fronts. They were also available as utility tractors with flanged rear axles and HD cast I beam front axles. The 350 was a bigger version of the 300 with a 164cu.in motor and 36" rears in the row crop version. Motor and tranny parts are common to a large group of Case tractors. Some body parts can be a bit spendy. Roger Hornbacker repairs the gauge clusters, and price varies.
The pics is of the 300 I use all the time. The other 300 we use on the farm during the summer.

Pete, to reiterate Loren's words on Roger Hornbaker, I have a gauge cluster on my 630 he redid and it looks like a new one. This cluster is similar to the one on the 300 you are looking at. They are not cheap but Roger puts a LOT of hours in them so I had to expect a higher price, but in comparing what I paid for Roger's rebuilt to a rebuilt one by another gorup one I have seen on an MM on one of my fellow antique tractor club's machines I got a very GOOD deal!! I can't say enough good things about Roger's work and help on the cluster and other items over the years.

Did you have those louvers added to the side panel? My "56 Model 311 doesn't have them. My exhaust also goes down.

I made the side panals out of an old furnace jacket. Liked the louvers, so I cut the panal around them to fit the tractor. It worked pretty well.
