I use a steering wheel puller and stick a couple of bolts through the holes in the pulley. I have removed at least 3 of them with out any problems.

Make sure you take the set screw all the way out, don't just loosen it.

One piece of advice I saw was to remove the large nut, add penetrating oil, and run it that way and it will loosen. Didn't say how long it will take. :)

I went to the archives [belt pulley removal dc] DCTOM says remove the 4 capscrews,no need to remove large nut .Apply a resilliant puller .Should come off with a little effort!

FRONT pulley means crankshaft pulley to me. I have had them stuck so bad that I had to cut them off. I had several others laying around to replace it so I did not think much of it.
