I think the later 930's have a 401 block that is a bit different in casting.

Love the 500's, have 3. If it has been sitting for a long time, you might want to check the valve train. We had one that seemed to run good, but we had to tear down and replace the bent pushrods from the gunked up valve train.

I think all 930's had the 401, 500-600-900's used the 377 and a chain drive 6 speed block will not bolt up to an 8 speed rear

Its pretty decent, the biggest job will be the fenders, they are pretty bad at the bottom. Otherwise it's good, needs some brake work and power steering someday. She runs great, I put a video on YouTube the other day of it running. Case 500 Diesel

I was looking at one a while back, where did yours come from and what is the serial number of yours. I have 2 500's and they start with 803xxx and 804xxxx.

Hah, found a picture of that. It purred like a kitten for hours until oil started spewing out of the manifold.

Ben,

Congratulations on your 500 purchase! I think you"ll really enjoy that easy starting, smooth running six cylinder engine. The only thing wrong with those tractors are the rear tires are too small for the power. Don

Congrats on the 500. I've always liked the look of the 500 and 600. I thought the 500's were all orange not two tone? Just curious.

Mine came from small town close to London Ontario, I live 45min south of Windsor Ontario it was about a 4.5hr drive each way, serial # is 8036622 traded an eagle hitch 830 gas for it.
