Finaly ciosed the deal on this tired looking 830, and got it hauled today. It is 15 below on the F temp. scale here today, so I had it dropped at a local shop where a buddy of mine works. He can take it in and give it a look over for me.I don't have a heated shop, and don't like the cold that well. Needs all the basic stuff, fluids and filters. But I want to get a quick plate mouted on the loader. Sure could use some paint too, well maybe later. Got a line on a 430 now, if the wife don't kill me first. Bruce

I always liked the stance of the "standard" tractors, but they wern't practical here. What brand of cab is that? Good luck with the tractor, I hope it serves you well. Post some pics. when you get it home and are using it. Good luck with the 430 also, I won't tell your wife about it. I bet if you get it, she will like driving it. Find a small mtd. plow and cultivater for it and she will have it working in that big garden of her's

Kinda got an Idea that the cab is an " Uglybuilt" cab, And came with the skinnyazd door option. So why wheren't "standered" modle tractors practical in NY state? Too many hills, and you can't set the wheels out? Bruce

Every farmer here wanted adj. front and rear wheel tread. and 3pt hitch. Yours may have a 3pt., couldn't tell from pic., but will not work with most mtd and semimtd. plows.

I got a 832-C last year( from Canada) never had a std tread like it before,, 830's are very good useful tractors sure you will enjoy it,,, by the way is yours a std shift or COM? thanks for posting cnt

This tractor is a 8 speed dry clutch. with the range shifter on the dash, and a flat floor. Only have seen one COM , my brother had a 530 with a loader, gas, many years back. Loader worked well, and it never fail to go forward or back. But if you where loading manure with it and you put it outof gear, while you ran the load out to the field, you would have to shut the tractor off, to put it back into gear.We used it for several years, but he sent it down the road when he got a CaseIH 585with a 2200 loader. His 530 really did love it's gas.
