The selectamatic section on there is just a scan of an I&T manual. Very basic help at best.
9 times in 10 the root fault of a selectamatic system is dirty/watery oil. First step is to install new gear shift boots, change the oil and filter in the transmission. Then start chasing your problem.
If you start by trying to chase down your problem, it will be a never ending battle.
With any luck it s just a stuck or dirty "bypass" or "Hold" valve. This post was edited by RGMartin at 17:12:56 01/22/13.
