Cyber Transport Vehicle Took a Dump

Adirondack case guy

Well guys,
Last Thursday morning my CTV spit two rods out of the block, the clutch blew up, the shifting lever broke, and all the wheels fell of distroying the axles and brakes. I guess I should have replaced those bald tires sooner.
The only thing that worked was an idiot light and the cursing lever arrow!!! HeHe.
It was pretty quiet here on the Case forum, and every post on Tractor Talk turned into a gun discussion, so I went and took advantage of the mild weekend weather.
Yesterday, the wifey called Dell tech support. It took 3.5 hrs. on the phone and half way in to the session, e-mail conection was made to facilitate the in chasis overhaul. The guy in India, put a new motor clutch, tranny, and drive axles in it. We also oppted for a new set of tires also. The old girl also has a new 3yr warranty. The tech said that I had loaded it too heavy, and a windows update that would not install Thursday, caused the crash. My daughter had just sent me a new external hard drive which I haden't installed, so with the help of the Tech we were able to save a lot of files and documents, and transfer them to the new drive. Fortunately I didn't loose the one camera chip with 1696 pics. on it like the last crash. Before I got over that it cost over $100 bucks to restore the chip. (this thing is as expensive as an old tractor to keep running)
I,m still having some problems shifting the CTV, but I guess when I get use to the new shift pattern, things will be good again.
The weather turned cold here today, 12F at the moment, gusting winds 15-20mph, and wind chill hovering around -4. We're supose to get another blast off Lk. Ontario this afternoon and evening. News station to my west is posting early school and after school cancelations on the TV now.
Sun afternoon the wifey and I were able to take a tour with the Cheby wood getter to the back of the upper 40, and earlier that day I brought home some more wood for myself that I had blocked and split before the storm 3 wks. ago. We had a beauty of a sunset Sun evening, and a couple of brilliant sunrises this past few days.

Loren I understand the CTV headaches. Waiting for Microsoft to call me back, Wife's brand new computer tells me it needs to have the password restset with the reset disk I was supposed to have made when I upgraded her Win7 Home/Office version to Win 7 Professional that I had bought for her old computer last year. Didn't ever see that I would need to rest the password for the screen saver so I bypassed that step and now I can't get past the screen lock. To quote Rose Ann Rosanna Dana, "Its always something!"

Nice pictures BTW !!!!

Hey Loren,,,,,,,, sorry about the frig door be'in open.... but I can seee the handle with all the "wyo. windbag" going on hee hee ( sorry Tom) had ta blame somebody. Sorry to hear about your puker probs. As for the cluckers had to breakout the little long-johns... man its hard gett'en there "chicken legs" in the da holes!!! hee hee. Got 2 280,000 btu natural gas fired furances just-ah cracken. You should see that gas-meter WOW. But with that and the long-johns and 12,000 cage-free roommates running together. It's up-ta 68 degrees. So Tom shut-off the wind so I can close the door and Loren will be happy. 72 in family rm. But no gas meter to watch just the wood pile is get'en smaller. Know where's that snowshovel???

Gregg,
Speeking of long johns; after your post the other day I still have one leg bare from the knee down! HeHe. When are you going to pull the head on the 630 to see what ails it? Them JD guys only know what bubbles in a JD radiator ment, not in a Case! You and I have talked on the phone about it, and don't forget the bolt behind the water pump when you pull the head. The guys here will walk you through the whole process after you get the head off.
