Got a question went out to start the 1030 had it plugged in when I went to unplug heater cord was burnt in too at end of heater. First time have seen this happen, am I looking at problem with heater or did cord go bad? Put heater on when I bought it around 12 yrs ago, had been working fine. When unscrewed cord from heater was melted some around contacts. Any help would be appreciated. Scott

Sounds like you have a bad connection, I do not think you can get any parts for that heater anymore. KATS makes replacement heater if you need a new 1 I can get you the number.

if it was a Case htr you installed the cords are still available or were a year ago, question for you do you ever start the tractor with the heater plugged in? when the water pump moves coolant it creates bubbles these with hit the element and cause it to fail this may have caused the cord to fail, I have seen it happen, most times if it is just a fatigued cord they do not burn/melt the conection ends of the heater just my thoughts cnt

I was thinking just cord, but wanted some more input. I
make sure its unplugged before starting. It was purchased
from Case dealer. Thanks for the help guys. Scott
