David Brown 1370

Found these pictures on the web. I have never seen one before, and a desert sunset model would seem even more rare. Any information on this?

1973 Case 1370, two tone 1270/1370' were made from 1972 to 1974, the Case/David Brown sticker was required by the deal when Case bought David Brown it was only on 1973 production tractors

One sidenote, I have a British brochure for the 2090/2290 series. Over there the 90 series American Cases had a similar David Brown decal in about the same location as the 1370 has in the opening post. I believe the actual DB's sold in Britain carried the David Brown name quite a bit later than over here.

(quoted from post at 02:41:00 01/13/13) I believe the actual DB's sold in Britain carried the David Brown name quite a bit later than over here.

They carried the DB name through the 90 series.

Nutty didn’t the early 1370 (yellow) have small planetary gears?

Are you aware of problems with 1370 tractors that had the small planetary gear cluster?

The tractor in the picture looks like it might be a decent ole tractor.

Where is the tractor located?

even the later White 1370's had a little to small of a planetairy, lot of dealers updated them with 1570 stock, but if you over loaded them with weight and pulled the snot out of them they would give trouble at times, our dealership was very insistent on operating them properly and not overload the powertrain, we also recomemned customers running the same or close to the same equipment as they ran with their 1030/1070 tractors they traded in this allowed the "Rapid Farming" idea to work well and the 1370 would pull that equipment 2-3 mph faster than a 1030/1070 and I had them run 6000 hrs plus without any trans/rearend issues I seen at other locations that fully loaded them, that 504 was very strong and would do damage cnt

Nutty, I am not sure of the exact year maybe 76 or 77 Case came with a program to replace the smaller plant gears in some 1370's. This is just a guess, but seems to me if the owner wanted, for $500 parts and labor they could have them replaced. We changed almost all the 13's over that we sold. I tossed out lots of good parts. Later with the 20 and 2290's we saw them use those same small plant. gears. Rod.
